Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during procedures to ensure smooth patient care
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take dental X-rays and record patient medical histories
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and post-treatment maintenance
• Maintain clean and organized treatment rooms to meet safety standards
• Manage patient records and schedule follow-up appointments

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred
• Maryland Dental Assistant license required
• CPR certification needed
• Experience in orthodontics is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Familiarity with dental software and radiography equipment
• Proficiency in infection control and sterilization protocols
• Excellent patient care and chairside manner
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
