Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of technical MRI procedures with independent judgment and initiative
• Ensure MRI safety for patients and staff
• Work under the direction of the Director of Radiology and Medical Director
• Provide quality care to inpatients, outpatients, and emergency room patients of all ages
• Maintain quality control and quality assurance standards, protecting patients from harmful radiation
• Participate in continuing education and staff development

Qualifications

• Formal AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
• Previous MRI experience in a hospital setting
• ARRT Registry certification
• MRI Registry certification
• CPR certification
• Venipuncture certification (can be obtained within 3 months of hire)
• At least 2 recent supervisory references

Education

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology

Knowledge & Skills

• MRI technology and safety protocols
• Radiologic technology principles
• ARRT and MRI Registry standards
• CPR and venipuncture skills
• Independent judgment and initiative
• Comprehensive understanding of MRI safety
