Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, flexible 6-hour shifts (MA - AMB); days and start times vary based on clinic needs. Orientation included.

Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients, taking vital signs and documenting health histories
  • Assist providers with exams, treatments, and minor procedures in the ambulatory clinic
  • Administer medications and injections as ordered, ensuring patient safety
  • Perform CLIA-waived lab tests and collect specimens for processing
  • Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Provide patients with clear instructions and education for follow-up care
  • Keep exam rooms stocked, clean, and ready for each patient

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (new grads encouraged to apply!)
  • Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
  • Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)
  • Experience in an ambulatory/outpatient clinic is a plus
  • Compassionate, professional, and reliable team player

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong clinical skills: vital signs, injections, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and EHR systems
  • Excellent communication and patient service skills
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
