Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate psychiatric care and support to patients in a medical OT setting
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses accurately
• Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to individual needs
• Document patient progress and behavior with attention to detail
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Respond to crisis situations with professionalism and calm

Qualifications

• Active California Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum 1 year of recent psychiatric technician experience preferred
• Ability to work Friday-Tuesday shifts, including weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in charting and electronic health records
• Ability to de-escalate tense situations and maintain safety
• Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach
