Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and care for braces and Invisalign
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
- Support a fast-paced clinic environment with a smile
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training
- Experience with orthodontic procedures, braces, and Invisalign
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-first attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented setting
- X-ray certification and current CPR/BLS certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in orthodontic terminology and procedures
- Skilled in taking impressions, digital scans, and fitting appliances
- Familiar with dental software for charting and scheduling
- Strong attention to detail and infection control practices
