Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and efficiency
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take dental X-rays and impressions as directed
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and appliance maintenance
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
• Support a positive patient experience from check-in to check-out

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or expanded functions permit preferred
• X-ray certification (required in MD)
• At least 1 year of chairside assisting experience, orthodontic experience is a plus
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and instruments
• Familiarity with dental software and record-keeping
• Sterilization and infection control best practices
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented and organized
