Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate psychiatric care and support to patients
• Monitor patient behavior and document observations accurately
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop care plans
• Assist in therapeutic activities and crisis intervention

Qualifications

• Active California Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum 1 year of recent psychiatric experience
• Strong communication and charting skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Psychiatric Technician program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of psychiatric medications and side effects
• Understanding of behavioral health interventions
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques
• Team collaboration and patient advocacy
