Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring safety and accuracy
• Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition to the healthcare team
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other staff to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing interventions

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Maine
• Minimum of 1 year of recent LPN experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Must be willing to comply with facility vaccination requirements (or have approved exemption)
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in medication administration, wound care, and patient assessment
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Compassion and patience when working with elderly or chronically ill patients
