Roles & Responsibilities

Provide thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis to patients
Educate patients on optimal oral hygiene practices
Take and develop dental x-rays accurately
Assess patients' oral health and document findings
Apply fluoride treatments and sealants as needed
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
Assist dentist during procedures when necessary

Qualifications

Active Dental Hygienist license in New York State
Current CPR certification
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Commitment to providing compassionate patient care

Education

Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in dental hygiene procedures and best practices
Knowledge of dental software and digital charting
Strong attention to detail and clinical accuracy
Effective patient education techniques
Time management and organizational skills
