Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor telemetry leads and cardiac rhythms closely to detect changes early
Assess patients regularly and intervene promptly to ensure safety and stability
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and update patient care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely following facility protocols
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the chart
Educate patients and families about their condition and participate in discharge planning

Qualifications

Active RN license in California (required)
Telemetry experience — comfortable interpreting cardiac rhythms
Current BLS required; ACLS preferred
Previous acute care or telemetry unit experience strongly preferred
Reliable, professional, and able to work independently on per-diem assignments

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced acute care setting
