Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding dental hygiene care to patients of all ages
• Perform thorough cleanings, scaling, and root planing as needed
• Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and care
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, nutrition, and preventive care
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with dentists and team members to create great patient experiences
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming treatment environment

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license in good standing
• Current CPR and BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Experience with dental radiographs and electronic charting
• A warm chairside manner and strong patient communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a friendly team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene principles and infection control
• Proficiency with dental instruments and radiograph equipment
• Strong patient education and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accurate documentation
• Time management skills in a busy practice
• Commitment to continuing education and professional growth
