Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide top-notch preventive dental care including cleanings and exams
- Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices to promote long-term health
- Take and develop dental x-rays with precision and care
- Assist the dentist during procedures to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
- Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and equipment for each patient
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
- Current CPR certification
- Strong attention to detail and patient-focused attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in dental hygiene procedures and patient education
- Skilled in taking and interpreting dental x-rays
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
