Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist nursing staff with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility support
Monitor, record, and report vital signs and changes in patient condition
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and the care team
Accurately document care provided in the patient chart or EMR
Support admissions, discharges, and bedside tasks to keep patient flow smooth

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
Valid state CNA license as required by California regulations
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility
Reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused approach to care
Previous experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar settings is a plus
Up-to-date immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care and bedside assistance skills
Familiarity with basic vital sign measurement and documentation
Ability to follow care plans and physician/nurse directions accurately
Good communication and teamwork skills
Basic computer or EMR entry skills for charting
Awareness of infection control and patient safety practices
