Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating
• Take and record vital signs, and report changes to nursing staff
• Support mobility by helping patients move, transfer, and reposition
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients
• Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing quality care
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift or move patients safely
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus, but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of infection control practices and safety protocols
• Understanding of patient rights and confidentiality (HIPAA)
• Skill in vital sign monitoring and basic patient care
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals
• Basic computer skills for documenting care in electronic health records
• Adaptability to varying patient needs and changing environments
