Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents in daily activities
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety
• Document care provided accurately and promptly
• Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and the care team to promote optimal outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Connecticut
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
• Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented
• Ability to pass a background check and meet facility compliance requirements
• Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of basic patient care principles and infection control practices
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail for accurate documentation and vital sign monitoring
• Empathy and patience when caring for elderly or vulnerable residents
