Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Take and record vital signs, and report any changes to the nursing team
• Support residents with mobility and transfer needs, ensuring their safety and comfort
• Engage residents in activities and conversation to promote mental and emotional well-being
• Maintain a clean and organized environment to enhance quality of life
• Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver the best possible care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to lift and transfer residents safely
• A caring heart and a positive attitude
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and safety protocols
• Skills in using vital signs monitoring equipment
• Ability to follow care plans and document accurately
• Understanding of infection control guidelines
• Interpersonal skills for interacting with residents and families
• Time management skills for prioritizing tasks effectively
