Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to nursing staff promptly
- Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
- Assist with meals, feeding, and hydration, while respecting each resident's preferences
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for residents and staff
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team to promote dignity and well-being
Qualifications
- Active Connecticut CNA certification
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable approach to care
- Ability to work flexible per diem shifts based on facility needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of patient care and hygiene assistance
- Skills in vital signs monitoring and documentation
- Understanding of infection control practices
- Effective interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to respond calmly and professionally in changing situations
