Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to nursing staff promptly
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
• Assist with meals, feeding, and hydration, while respecting each resident's preferences
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for residents and staff
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team to promote dignity and well-being

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut CNA certification
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable approach to care
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts based on facility needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of patient care and hygiene assistance
• Skills in vital signs monitoring and documentation
• Understanding of infection control practices
• Effective interpersonal and communication abilities
• Ability to respond calmly and professionally in changing situations
