Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (schedule varies), 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, Night shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility with compassion and respect
Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in condition to the nursing team promptly
Support safe and clean patient environments by following infection control and safety protocols
Document care and observations accurately to ensure continuity of care
Collaborate with nurses and therapists to help patients meet rehab and recovery goals
Build trusting relationships with patients and families through clear communication and empathy

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
Valid authorization to work in New Mexico as required by state regulations
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute care settings is a plus
Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by facility
Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working night shifts

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care and bedside skills
Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and basic observations
Good communication skills with patients, families, and the care team
Basic charting skills and ability to follow care plans
Empathy, patience, and a team-oriented mindset
