Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem night shift, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM (days vary / schedule based on needs)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and support their daily living activities
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility with dignity and respect
Monitor and document vital signs and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
Communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues to ensure coordinated care
Support therapy and rehabilitation activities as directed by the care team

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential recognized in New Mexico
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or able to obtain promptly
Comfortable and available to work night shifts on a per diem basis
Compassionate approach to resident care and strong communication skills
Prior experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing preferred

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and safe patient handling
Basic clinical skills: taking vitals, observing and reporting changes
Infection control practices and hygiene standards
Accurate documentation and charting skills
Teamwork, reliability, and the ability to prioritize resident safety
