Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan, from triage to discharge.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and interventions including IV insertion, EKG monitoring, and wound care.
• Administer medications safely while monitoring patients for changes in condition.
• Collaborate with a seasoned team of ED professionals in a positive, teamwork-driven environment.
• Maintain proficiency in emergency procedures including foley catheter insertion, splinting, and wound infiltration.
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech EMR while coordinating with multidisciplinary staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care Emergency Department RN experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications
• Valid CPI Blue Card (crisis prevention intervention)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency environment
• Prior experience in a large hospital setting is preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in IV therapy, EKG interpretation, and patient assessment
• Experienced with foley catheter insertion, splinting, and wound care
• Knowledgeable in medication administration and emergency pharmacology
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR is a plus
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to support a positive unit culture
