Substance Abuse Counselor
Location: Brasstown, North Carolina
Start Date: 06-01-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 40 Hour Guarantee, Every Other Saturday (6:15am - 8:30am), No On-Call
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate patient files
- Coordinate patient care and present patient status to treatment team
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Provide clinical services, patient care, and opiate addiction counseling
- Conduct individual counseling sessions and provide patient advocacy
Qualifications
- LCAS certification
- NC state certification or licensure
- Experience working with opiate-addicted population
- CPR and First Aid certification
Education
- State certification or licensure in Substance Abuse Counseling
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care and case management
- Clinical services and counseling
- Opiate addiction counseling and methadone maintenance treatment
- Crisis intervention and treatment plan development
