Roles & Responsibilities

• Strategically administer the organization's enterprise insurance and risk financing programs
• Oversee the commercial property and casualty insurance portfolio and workers' compensation program
• Assist leadership in managing the self-insured captive
• Lead insurance procurement, claims management, and contract risk transfer
• Conduct policy interpretation and coverage analysis to optimize financial protection
• Partner with brokers, insurers, actuaries, and legal counsel to evaluate emerging risks
• Develop cost-effective risk financing strategies and maximize insurance recoveries
• Provide analytical support through risk exposure modeling and program performance metrics
• Oversee insurance compliance activities including certificates of insurance and regulatory reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Insurance, Risk Management or related field - required
• Seven years of professional experience in risk management or commercial insurance/brokerage
• Experience in claims oversight and settlement
• Advanced knowledge of insurance underwriting, coverage forms, preferred endorsements, and loss control
• CPCU designation preferred; ChFC or Juris Doctor a plus
• Strong analytical, communication, and partnership skills

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Insurance, Risk Management or related field
