Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during procedures to ensure smooth patient care
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for safety
• Take dental x-rays and capture images for diagnosis
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Create a comfortable and welcoming experience for every patient

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Dental Assistant certification
• Orthodontic assisting experience preferred
• Radiology certification required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a compassionate approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and instruments
• Sterilization and infection control protocols
• Patient care and comfort techniques
• Dental software and recordkeeping
