Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed respiratory therapy and evaluate patient responses to ensure optimal care
• Interpret physician orders and assess patient needs to tailor treatments
• Perform invasive procedures in critical care and patient care units with minimal supervision
• Collaborate with the clinical team as a respiratory care consultant
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status and adjust assignments to maintain high-quality care
• Take ownership of patient outcomes in independent practice

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program (required)
• Current Kansas license or eligibility to obtain one (required)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC (required)
• One year of respiratory care experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply!
• Ability to respond quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong foundation in respiratory care and patient assessment
• Ability to interpret physician orders and adjust care plans accordingly
• Skilled in delivering therapy and evaluating patient response
• Experience with invasive procedures and critical care
• Excellent clinical consultation and communication skills
