Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and ensure equipment is ready for patient care
• Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and reason for visit
• Assist healthcare providers with examinations and procedures
• Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider
• Collect specimens and perform basic lab tests as ordered
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in the EHR system
• Coordinate patient flow, scheduling, and front-office duties to keep the clinic running smoothly
• Educate patients on care plans, medications, and follow-up instructions

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification required
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) a plus
• Previous experience in an outpatient, clinic, or medical office setting
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
• Comfortable taking vital signs and performing patient intake
• Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and specimen collection
• Understanding of HIPAA and infection control practices
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
