Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse medical unit population
- Monitor vital signs and assess patients' conditions closely, especially during overnight hours
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as ordered
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to implement and adjust care plans
- Document patient progress accurately in the electronic health record
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge planning
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or compact state
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Previous acute care or medical unit experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
