Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in a Step-Down Unit
• Monitor telemetry and assess patient conditions, intervening promptly when needed
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring patient safety
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge instructions
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain comprehensive records

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Previous experience in a Step-Down, Progressive Care, or Critical Care setting preferred
• Strong telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills
• Ability to float to units as needed and adapt quickly

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Excellent patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of medication administration and IV therapy
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Compassionate patient-centered approach
