Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and design individualized physical therapy plans that restore strength, mobility and confidence
• Deliver hands-on treatment and therapeutic exercises that help residents move better and live fuller
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of nurses, OTs, and social workers to drive real functional progress
• Document treatments accurately and promptly so every patient's journey is clearly tracked
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility strategies
• Celebrate the small wins, because every step forward matters

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts, or compact eligibility
• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Previous skilled nursing, long term care, or rehabilitation experience is a plus, but new travelers with strong clinicals are welcome to apply
• Current BLS certification
• Willingness to bring a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at the facility
• A team player attitude and a genuine love for patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid grounding in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and gait training
• Comfort with rehab documentation systems and electronic medical records
• Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families and coworkers
• Ability to manage a full caseload while keeping quality high
• Flexibility and adaptability in a new facility and a new community
