Roles & Responsibilities

• Welcome patients warmly and guide them through their visit from check-in to check-out
• Prepare exam rooms and equipment so providers can focus on great patient care
• Record vital signs, medical histories and chief complaints accurately in the chart
• Assist providers with exams, minor procedures and specimen collection
• Perform venipuncture, injections, EKGs and basic point-of-care testing
• Manage scheduling, referrals, prior authorizations and incoming patient calls
• Keep supplies stocked and clinical areas organized, clean and ready
• Collaborate with the care team to keep the clinic running smoothly all day

Qualifications

• Active Medical Assistant credentials or completion of an accredited MA program
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• At least one year of clinical Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Comfortable with back office duties including vitals, injections and EKGs
• Strong computer skills and experience with electronic medical records
• A team player attitude with excellent communication and patient service skills
• Ability to commit to a 27-week assignment starting October 26, 2026

• Clinical skills across vitals, venipuncture, injections, EKGs and specimen handling
• Medical terminology and accurate charting practices
• Electronic health record navigation and data entry
• Infection control and sterile technique
• Patient education and clear, compassionate communication
• Time management in a busy outpatient clinic setting
• HIPAA awareness and confidentiality standards
