Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care that helps residents feel safe, seen and respected
• Assist residents with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, grooming and eating
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and report changes to the nursing team
• Help residents stay mobile and steady with safe transfers, walking support and range-of-motion exercises
• Keep rooms, supplies and equipment clean and organized to support infection control
• Document care accurately and promptly so the whole care team stays on the same page
• Be a warm, reassuring presence for residents and their families throughout the shift

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) license in Vermont or New Hampshire
• Current BLS certification
• Completed COVID-19 vaccination series or a documented religious or medical exemption from your employer
• At least 1 year of LNA experience, ideally in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
• Reliable transportation - this area has limited and inconsistent public transit, so having your own ride is a must
• Ability to pass a background check and bring a state or federal issued ID to the facility
• A team-first attitude and a genuine love for caring for others

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of patient care techniques and safe patient handling
• Comfort taking and interpreting vital signs and reporting changes
• Knowledge of infection control practices and proper PPE use
• Familiarity with electronic charting and basic documentation standards
• Strong communication skills for working with residents, families and the nursing team
• Patience, empathy and a calm approach during busy or stressful moments
• Time management skills to juggle multiple resident needs with a smile
