Roles & Responsibilities

• Welcome young patients and help them feel comfortable before treatment
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following safety protocols
• Assist the dentist during exams, cleanings, and restorative procedures
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist
• Teach children and parents about brushing, flossing, and healthy dental habits
• Keep accurate patient records and update charts in the practice system
• Manage dental supplies and keep operatories organized and stocked

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant certification or willingness to obtain required credentials
• Current CPR or BLS certification
• Previous dental assistant experience is preferred but new grads may be considered
• Comfort working with children and helping them feel at ease
• Strong communication skills with patients, parents, and team members
• Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout a clinical shift
