Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments to ensure a seamless patient experience
• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, providing exceptional patient care
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage scheduling efficiently
• Sterilize instruments and uphold strict infection control standards
• Order and manage dental supplies to keep the practice running smoothly
• Create a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients

Qualifications

• Orthodontic Certification is required (must be ortho certified)
• Valid Dental Assisting license or certification
• Previous experience in orthodontic dental assisting preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Commitment to providing top-notch patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Proficiency in taking dental radiographs
• Skilled in instrument sterilization and infection control
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Strong patient care and communication abilities
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Detail-oriented and organized
