Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for orthodontic procedures
• Assist the orthodontist during bracket placement, wire changes, and adjustments
• Take dental radiographs and intraoral scans with precision
• Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control standards
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Keep patient records accurate and up to date
• Welcome patients with a warm, reassuring chairside manner
• Help keep the clinic running smoothly and efficiently

Qualifications

• Must be a certified orthodontic or dental assistant
• Orthodontic assisting experience is preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification is a plus
• Maryland Dental Assistant certification or license required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work afternoon and evening shifts
• Detail-oriented and dependable team player
• Passion for helping patients feel comfortable
