Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate occupational therapy services to patients primarily ages 0-3 in the Infant Child Development (ICD) program who show delays or deficits in daily living skills, play, neuromuscular, sensory-integrative, cognitive or psychosocial abilities
• Plan, organize and implement occupational therapy services for patients and their families from start to finish
• Complete comprehensive assessments that paint a full picture of each child's strengths and needs
• Develop individualized treatment plans rooted in each family's goals and priorities
• Provide hands-on treatment and deliver services with skill and heart
• Document care accurately so every team member stays in the loop
• Educate and consult with families, caregivers and fellow clinicians to extend progress beyond the treatment room
• Guide discharge and transition planning so children and families leave with confidence and a clear path forward

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
• Active Kansas Occupational Therapy License (required)
• Valid Kansas Driver's License (documentation required)
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Health Care Provider or the American Heart Association Health Care Provider, to be completed within the first 90 days of employment
• One year of experience in pediatric occupational therapy is preferred, though new graduates with a passion for pediatrics are encouraged to apply

Education

• Bachelors of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy [REQUIRED]
• Minimum Experience One year of experience in pediatric occupational therapy preferred [PREFERRED]
• One year of experience in pediatric occupational therapy preferred [PREFERRED]

• Occupational Therapy practice with a pediatric focus
• Patient assessment and evaluation
• Treatment plan development and implementation
• Patient documentation and charting
• Activities of Daily Living (ADL) assessment, including play
• Discharge and transition planning
• Basic Life Support, CPR and AED skills
• Infant Child Development (ICD) program experience is a plus
• Family education and consultation
• Neuromuscular assessment and sensory integration
• A warm, patient-centered approach with little ones and their caregivers
