Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for orthodontic procedures and make them feel at ease
• Assist the orthodontist during exams and treatments with precision and care
• Take and develop dental X-rays to support accurate diagnoses
• Sterilize and organize instruments to maintain a safe, clean environment
• Educate patients on braces care, oral hygiene, and treatment plans
• Keep treatment rooms stocked and ready for each patient visit

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or willing to obtain certification
• Current Maryland Dental Radiographer certification or ability to obtain
• Previous orthodontic experience is a big plus, but we love teaching the right candidate
• Comfortable working with patients of all ages, from kids to adults
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental instruments, orthodontic tools, and sterilization protocols
• Excellent communication skills to connect with patients and team members
• Ability to work efficiently and calmly during busy procedures
• Familiarity with dental software and patient record management
