Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI scans (MSK, Neuro, Body) for both inpatients and outpatients using 1.5T Philips and Siemens systems
• Start IVs and perform creatinine draws when required to support contrast-enhanced imaging
• Operate PACS and EMR systems (Synapse PACS, Meditech/MedHost) and maintain accurate documentation
• Provide compassionate patient care and positioning, triage safety screening, and follow imaging protocols
• Participate in the monthly on-call rotation and respond professionally during call shifts
• Precept and mentor other technologists as needed to support unit competency and growth
• Float between College Station and Bryan sites to ensure continuity of imaging services

Qualifications

• ARRT (MR) certification required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Medical Radiologic Technologist license issued by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) required
• Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience (as listed)
• Demonstrated experience on Philips and Siemens MRI systems (PHILIPS and SIEMENS experience required)
• Experience with 1.5T equipment and IV starting/contrast procedures
• Familiarity with Meditech and Synapse PACS (MedHost experience a plus)
• Willingness to float between College Station and Bryan and participate in on-call rotations
• Candidates must NOT have been directly employed by CommonSpirit (including CHI or Dignity) within the past year; PRN employment through outside firms is acceptable

Education

• Certification as an ARRT (MR) technologist and Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist license (TMB) required
• BLS (AHA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in MRI imaging workflows (MSK, Neuro, Body) and patient safety protocols
• Proficient with Philips and Siemens scanner operation and troubleshooting
• Skilled in IV insertion and contrast handling, including creatinine checks
• Comfortable using Synapse PACS and Meditech/MedHost for image retrieval and charting
• Strong patient communication, positioning, and immobilization techniques
• Ability to precept and teach newer technologists
• Flexible problem-solving and teamwork when floating between sites
