Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality dental hygiene care to patients.
• Perform thorough cleanings, periodontal assessments, and preventive treatments.
• Capture and develop dental X-rays while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices and post-treatment care.
• Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a clean, sterile environment.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania Dental Hygiene license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, caring bedside manner.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative dental team.
• Prior dental hygiene experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong working knowledge of dental anatomy, periodontics, and preventive care.
• Proficiency with dental instruments, ultrasonic scalers, and radiography equipment.
• Solid understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols.
• Effective communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
• Familiarity with dental practice management software for charting and documentation.
