Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality dental hygiene care to patients.
- Perform thorough cleanings, periodontal assessments, and preventive treatments.
- Capture and develop dental X-rays while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices and post-treatment care.
- Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a clean, sterile environment.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record.
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Dental Hygiene license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, caring bedside manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative dental team.
- Prior dental hygiene experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong working knowledge of dental anatomy, periodontics, and preventive care.
- Proficiency with dental instruments, ultrasonic scalers, and radiography equipment.
- Solid understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Effective communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software for charting and documentation.
