Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist in providing gentle, quality dental care to children
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for each patient
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
• Educate young patients and parents on proper oral hygiene habits
• Keep patient records accurate and up-to-date
• Create a welcoming, fear-free environment that makes kids love coming to the dentist!

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent, with valid Wisconsin licensure or certification
• Current CPR certification
• Experience in pediatric dentistry is a big plus (but not required!)
• Great communication skills, especially when interacting with children
• A caring, patient, and positive attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental instruments and procedures
• Comfort with dental software and patient record management
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization best practices
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to soothe anxious patients with empathy and patience
