Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling to maintain patient oral health
- Take and develop dental X-rays, then review and identify potential issues
- Assess patients' oral health and report findings to the dentist
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and equipment
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Wisconsin
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
- Radiography and X-ray interpretation skills
- Patient education techniques
- Infection control protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a dental team
