Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to patients and assist with activities of daily living
Monitor and report changes in patient condition, communicating clearly with nursing staff
Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility support
Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow care plans
Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
Participate in orientation and training to ensure consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification for California (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain during orientation)
Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
Compassionate bedside manner, strong communication, and teamwork skills
Previous experience in long-term care, hospital, or rehab settings is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with basic patient care tasks (ADLs, vital signs, toileting, feeding)
Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
Comfortable documenting care accurately and communicating with the care team
Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nursing staff
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
