Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered care to patients in a skilled nursing setting
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs, and report changes to the nursing team
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
• Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
• Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Connecticut
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts as needed
• Must be at least 18 years old and pass background check

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of resident care principles and infection control practices
• Excellent documentation and observation skills
• Ability to lift and transfer residents safely
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities
• Basic computer skills for electronic charting
