Candidate Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate daily care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to maintain resident safety and comfort
  • Take and record vital signs, and report any changes in condition to the nursing team
  • Support residents with meals and hydration, monitoring intake as directed
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
  • Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Connecticut
  • Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred)
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
  • Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively with nurses
  • Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living is a plus
  • Must be reliable and able to adapt to changing daily needs

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of resident care techniques and activities of daily living
  • Skills in vital signs monitoring and documentation
  • Understanding of residents' rights and HIPAA privacy rules
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents with mobility
  • Basic computer skills for electronic health records
