Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, respectful care to residents in daily activities
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to nursing staff
- Support residents with meals and hydration, monitoring intake
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
- Document care provided and communicate with the care team
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Connecticut
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents
- Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of resident care standards and safety protocols
- Ability to use vital signs monitoring equipment
- Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing resident needs
