Shift Type: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend (EOW)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert, compassionate nursing care to critically ill neonates in our Level III NICU
- Monitor and assess patient status, respond to changes, and implement life-saving interventions
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and operate specialized equipment like ventilators and incubators
- Partner with a collaborative team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and respiratory therapists to create individualized care plans
- Educate and support families, keeping them informed and involved in their baby's care journey
- Accurately document all assessments and interventions in EPIC electronic health records
Qualifications
- 2+ years of NICU nursing experience required
- Current, active RN license in Texas or compact state
- AHA BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Experience with EPIC charting system is highly preferred
- BSN not required - we welcome ADN and diploma nurses!
Knowledge & Skills
- Neonatal resuscitation (NRP) proficiency
- Experience managing ventilators and oxygen therapy for neonates
- Knowledge of neonatal pharmacology and medication dosage calculations
- Skill in family-centered care and parent education
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Comfortable with EPIC electronic health records
