Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and eating
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to nursing staff
• Support mobility and transfers with proper body mechanics
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and uphold infection control standards
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Maine
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
• New graduates welcome - no prior experience required
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination or documented exemption per facility policy
• Valid state or federal identification and ability to wear a photo badge at all times
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and safety protocols
• Skill in using vital signs monitoring equipment
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Compassion and empathy for patients and families
• Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced setting
