Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents—assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Support safe transfers and ambulation while using proper body mechanics
• Observe, record, and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Assist with feeding and hydration needs while encouraging dignity and independence
• Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Participate in orientation and training to continually improve care quality and safety

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — ability to work in California preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain during orientation)
• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and safe patient handling
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
• Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
• Orientation attendance required beginning 2026-05-04

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational knowledge of resident care and basic nursing procedures
• Infection control and proper hand hygiene practices
• Accurate documentation and reporting of resident observations
• Teamwork and effective communication with residents and colleagues
• Ability to follow care plans and direction from licensed nursing staff
• Compassion, patience, and respect for resident dignity
