Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgery, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and ready
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during procedures, passing instruments and handling supplies with precision
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict infection control protocols
• Support a wide range of surgical cases including general, vascular, ortho, endo, urology, and open heart surgery
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe patient care

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (required)
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical tech experience
• Experience with Cerner charting system (required)
• CVOR experience preferred, especially with open heart surgery
• Ability to complete all MyJourney modules prior to arrival (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in Cerner EMR system
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterilization techniques
• Understanding of sterile field maintenance
• Experience with a variety of surgical specialties including CVOR
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
