Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee nursing care delivery in the Operating Room, ensuring alignment with the hospital's philosophy and high standards
• Manage staffing levels to guarantee safe, continuous patient care while meeting productivity goals
• Provide clinical support and resources to staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment
• Drive quality improvement initiatives, including core measures, HCAHPS, and employee engagement programs
• Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission and other regulatory standards
• Round daily on patients and employees to maintain open communication and address concerns proactively
• Mentor, coach, and develop clinical coordinators and nursing staff to build strong leadership
• Handle recruitment, retention, and performance evaluations in coordination with Talent Management

Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (LARA/Nursys) - required
• 5+ years of RN experience
• 2+ years of Operating Room experience
• 1+ years of nursing supervision in an acute care setting within the last two years
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification
• CNOR certification
• Previous management experience highly preferred
• Covid vaccination required (exemptions allowed)

• Strong nursing leadership and staff management abilities
• Budget management and productivity oversight
• Quality improvement and regulatory compliance expertise
• Excellent patient care and clinical support skills
• Capacity to mentor, coach, and develop teams
• Working knowledge of TJC standards and healthcare operations
