Speech Therapist - Pediatric
Location: Portland, OR
Start Date: 08-20-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem, as needed; 8.5-hour shifts with flexible scheduling
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patients' speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve communication and cognitive-communication skills
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support progress
- Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately
- Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support communication at home and in the community
Qualifications
- Active Oregon state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility to obtain one
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations is a plus
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders in pediatric patients
- Ability to create and adjust individualized treatment plans
- Excellent documentation and time management skills
- Team collaboration and patient education skills
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
