Shift Type: Per diem, as needed; 8.5-hour shifts with flexible scheduling

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate patients' speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve communication and cognitive-communication skills
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support progress
  • Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately
  • Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support communication at home and in the community

Qualifications

  • Active Oregon state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility to obtain one
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Experience working with pediatric populations is a plus
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders in pediatric patients
  • Ability to create and adjust individualized treatment plans
  • Excellent documentation and time management skills
  • Team collaboration and patient education skills
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
