Speech Language Pathologist - Per Diem
Location: Portland, Oregon
Start Date: 08-20-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Flexible per diem shifts, 8.5 hours per shift, no guaranteed hours
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate speech, language, and swallowing assessments for pediatric patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Empower families with strategies and resources to support communication at home
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress
- Create fun, engaging therapy sessions that help children reach their goals
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of pediatric speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Skill in administering standardized assessments and interpreting results
- Ability to design creative, motivating therapy activities for children
- Comfort with electronic medical records and documentation
- A compassionate, family-centered approach to care
